Funky Monkeyz

Funky Monkeyz is our pre-school room within our nursery, this room caters for 3-5 year old children. The room is a spacious stimulating and lively environment in which the children have a wide range of fun, creative and challenging activities. The room is intended to help to make the transition from nursery to school a gentle and positive experience for both you and your child.

The children are supervised at all times within a staff ratio of one staff member to eight children. Your child will be cared for as an individual with their own personality. We will encourage your child to develop at their own pace, learning through fun and fascinating activities set out each day.

This room consists of the main room, and children’s toilets for the children to use throughout the day. There is also a sink area within the room. The main room is set out in areas, these areas consist of;

• Cosy/Book corner
• Sensory area
• Music area
• Mathematics area
• Small world area
• Construction area
• Home corner
• Mark making area
• Creative area
• Sand and water
• Snack area

The room has a key person’s board (which we will go into more detail later in this pack), an Art Gallery Board which is used to show the children’s pictures and anything the children create in regards to celebrations throughout the year.
